Penicillin and other agents that can cause immune hemolysis should be discontinued in patients who develop hemolysis. The following is a partial list of medications that can cause immune hemolysis:

  • Penicillin

  • Cephalothin

  • Ampicillin

  • Methicillin

  • Quinine

  • Quinidine
