Answer

Clofarabine is a purine analogue that is approved by the FDA for the treatment of relapsed pediatric acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL). A study of clofarabine and cytarabine in newly diagnosed patients with AML who were 50 years or older yielded a complete response rate of 52% and a CRi rate of 8%. Induction deaths occurred in 7% of patients. [76]
