Common compulsions include the following:

  • Cleaning/washing

  • Checking (checking locks, stove, iron, safety of children)

  • Counting/repeating actions a certain number of times or until it "feels right"

  • Arranging objects

  • Touching/tapping objects

  • Hoarding

  • Confessing/seeking reassurance

  • List making
