Answer

In a retrospective study of 39 knees in 28 middle-aged to elderly patients with predominant lateral patellofemoral osteoarthritis, partial lateral facetectomy, a minimally invasive procedure, improved initial anterior pain relief, as measured with the Knee Society Score, in 84% of knees. However, 30% of the knees eventually required total knee replacement. [64]
