Additional laboratory tests are tailored to the individual patient and may include the following:

  • Cardiac biomarkers

  • Toxicology screen

  • Fasting lipid profile

  • Erythrocyte sedimentation rate

  • Pregnancy test

  • Antinuclear antibody (ANA)

  • Rheumatoid factor

  • Homocysteine level

  • Rapid plasma reagent (RPR)
