Complications may include the following:

  • Vascular injury and bleeding

  • Injury to adjacent organs (bowel, bladder, ureter)

  • Injury to nerves

  • Infection

  • Deep venous thrombosis

  • Adhesion formation

  • Incisional hernia

  • Ovarian remnant syndrome

  • Anesthesia complications
