Answer

Answer

The indications for retroperitoneal laparoscopy continue to expand, with development and refinements in surgical technique. For example, single-port laparoscopy has been applied to the retroperitoneal space, with small series recently being reported. [54, 55] As surgeons become familiar with this technique, retroperitoneoscopy will continue to evolve, crafting new surgical interventions for other disorders. Recent examples include staging and therapeutic retroperitoneal endoscopic lymph node dissections, and retroperitoneal aortic therapies for Type II endoleaks post percutaneous aortic endosleeve graft placement.
