Answer

Answer

Patients are seen within the first few weeks after surgery to ensure they are progressing positively. Full, unrestricted activity may be resumed after appropriate healing, usually 4-6 weeks for vigorous physical activity. Serial imaging and laboratory data, including basic metabolic panel and CBC counts, are obtained after an interval of healing, based in part on comorbidities and the oncologic parameters defined on histopathology in accordance with the National Cancer Institutes clinical guidelines.
