Basic laparoscopic equipment includes the light source, carbon dioxide insufflator, main and accessory monitors, laparoscopic ports, and 30º and 45º laparoscopes. Accessory equipment, such as atraumatic graspers, right-angle laparoscopic clamps, laparoscopic scissors, dissectors (hook electrocautery, LigaSure or Harmonic scalpel), and specimen retrieval bags are routinely used.
