Answer

Monoclonal Antibodies

Human monoclonal antibodies that bind to C difficile toxins may be considered with standard-of-care antibiotics to prevent recurrent infection.

Bezlotoxumab (Zinplava)

Bezlotoxumab is a human monoclonal antibody that binds to C difficile toxin B, thereby neutralizing its effects. It is administered as a single IV infusion in conjunction with standard-of-care antibiotics to reduce recurrence of C difficile infection (CDI) in adults who are at a high risk for recurrence.
