Answer

Answer

Rotational chair testing

  • This test involves sinusoidally rotating the subject in a darkened booth while eye position is monitored to assess the VOR.

  • By comparing eye velocity to head velocity (ie, velocity of the chair), one can determine VOR gain. The phase lead of the response and any asymmetry in the response can also be determined.
