If progressive liver disease is present, the following symptomatology may appear:

  • Hepatic decompensation

  • Hepatic encephalopathy

  • Somnolence

  • Disturbances in sleep pattern

  • Mental confusion

  • Coma

  • Ascites

  • GI bleeding

  • Coagulopathy
