Hepatic hemangiomas should be differentiated from other benign and malignant space-occupying liver lesions. Benign liver tumors include cysts, adenomas, regenerating nodules, focal nodular hyperplasia, and abscesses. Malignant liver tumors include hepatocellular carcinoma, hepatic angiosarcoma and hepatic metastases.
