Acetylcholine release inhibitors

Local anticholinergic use at the LES.

Botulinum toxin (BOTOX)

Binds to receptor sites on motor nerve terminals and inhibits release of acetylcholine, which, in turn, inhibits transmission of impulses in neuromuscular tissue.
