A oading dose of clopidogrel 300-600 mg is recommended, followed by a maintenance dose of 75 mg daily.

Extrapolated results from the Clopidogrel versus Aspirin in Patients at Risk of Ischemic Events (CAPRIE) trial demonstrated that clopidogrel can be used in patients with NSTE-ACS who are intolerant to aspirin. [99]
