Answer

If the QRS is narrow, determine whether sinus tachycardia or supraventricular tachycardia is more probable. Evidence supporting sinus tachycardia includes the following:

  • Presence of P waves

  • Variable R-R intervals

  • Heart rate less than 180 bpm
