Answer

Amiodarone and procainamide should not be routinely administered together, but they may be given in conjunction with expert consultation, as follows:

  • Amiodarone: 5 mg/kg IV infused over 20-60 minutes

  • Procainamide: 15 mg/kg IV infused over 30-60 minutes
