All three guidelines recommend that all patients who are resuscitated from cardiac arrest but subsequently progress to death or brain death be evaluated for organ donation. [43, 49, 58] In addition, the AHA guidelines recommend considering kidney or liver donation in patients who do not have ROSC after resuscitation efforts and would otherwise have termination of efforts. [43]
