A prospective study by Fibla Alfara et al indicated that axillary hyperhidrosis can also be managed by inserting clips bilaterally into the thoracic sympathetic chain, a procedure that can be reversed if the patient develops intolerable compensatory sweating. The investigators reported that clipping was effective in 74.3% of patients with axillary hyperhidrosis. [12]
