Consider pharmacologic therapy if the LDL-C level remains above the following thresholds [47] :

  • Patients with low risk, 190 mg/dL or greater

  • Patients with moderate risk, 160 mg/dL or greater

  • Patients with moderately high risk, 130 mg/dL (option 100 mg/dL) or greater

  • Patients with high risk, 100 mg/dL (option 70 mg/dL) or greater
