Answer

Interventions will depend on the individual patient, but should be available to meet a broad spectrum of needs. Development of an individual education plan in collaboration with the patient’s parents and school is necessary to address potential learning problems. Promoting patient independence and involvement in decision making (ie, as it relates to medical care) is also essential. Additional recommendations cover psychotherapy, pharmacologic, social interaction, and care/support interventions. [72]
