If metastatic disease is suspected, the guidelines recommend the following additional tests [65] :

  • MIBG scan
  • Somatostatin receptor scintigraphy
  • Fluorodeoxyglucose PET (FDG-PET)/CT scan
  • If bone symptoms, bone scan
