Upbeat nystagmus

  • Medullary lesions, including perihypoglossal nuclei, the adjacent medial vestibular nucleus, and the nucleus intercalatus (structures important in gaze holding)

  • Lesions of the anterior vermis of the cerebellum

  • Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo
