Answer

Answer

In a nested case-control study, endoresection for posterior choroidal melanomas provided outcomes similar to or better than those obtained with iodine-125 plaque brachytherapy. [17] Metastatic spread was observed in 11 (20.4%) of the 54 patients in the iodine-125 brachytherapy group, compared with only 1 (3.7%) of the 27 patients in the endoresection group. No significant difference was found in overall or relapse-free survival between the 2 groups.
