SWS is generally diagnosed clinically, based on the typical cutaneous, central nervous system (CNS), and ocular abnormalities associated with it. Neurological signs include the following:

  • Developmental delay/intellectual disability

  • Learning problems

  • Attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder
