Answer

Answer

Optimal management of tardive dyskinesia (TD) involves diagnosis and treatment of conditions that resemble TD (eg, seizure disorders, syphilis, thyroid disease, and Wilson disease). Workup may include selected laboratory studies, as well as imaging modalities such as computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography (PET), and single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT).
