Orvieto et al suggested that intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) has no known teratogenic effects. [51] It also appears to have no effects on the immune system of the fetus or newborn. If necessary, treatment with IVIg may be considered, though the potential risks must be carefully assessed.
