The following medications are probably effective and should be considered for migraine prevention (level B recommendation):

  • Antidepressants: amitriptyline, venlafaxine

  • β-Blockers: atenolol, nadolol

  • Triptans: naratriptan, zolmitriptan for short-term MAMs prevention
