Answer

Answer

Studies from Lund, Sweden and Manchester, England estimated that FTD accounts for approximately 8% of patients with dementia. Probably the most accurate information comes from the Dutch study by Stevens et al, cited earlier, who reported 74 cases in a population of 15 million (ie, 5 cases per million persons). Among individuals aged 60-70 years, the prevalence was 28 cases per 100,000. [42]
