The following medications are used in to manage lymphedema:

  • Benzopyrones (eg, coumarin, flavonoids)

  • Retinoidlike agents (eg, acitretin, topical tazarotene)

  • Anthelmintic agents (eg, albendazole)

  • Topical skin products (eg, ammonium lactate lotion, topical urea)

  • Antibiotics (eg, cefazolin, clindamycin, penicillin G)
