Complications of chronic stasis dermatitis include cellulitis and nonhealing venous ulcers. Direct consequences of stasis dermatitis include an increased incidence of allergic contact dermatitis, lower-extremity ulceration, lipodermatosclerosis, and id reaction (autoeczematization).
