In a multicenter, prospective cohort in France, a high titer of anti-BPAg2 autoantibodies by ELISA and a positive direct immunofluorescence finding were found to be good indicators of further clinical relapse of bullous pemphigoid and may correlate with overall morbidity and mortality.
