Most drug eruptions are mild, self-limited, and usually resolve after the offending agent has been discontinued. Even after the responsible agent is discontinued, drug eruptions may clear slowly or worsen over the next few days. The degree of eosinophilia is predictive of the severity of the drug eruption. [48, 49] The time required for total clearing may be 1-2 weeks or longer.
