As the first peer-reviewed, electronic, topic-based publication of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the internationally recognized spokesorganization of neurosurgery, the mission of Neurosurgical Focus is to present new ideas and techniques, as well as fundamental scientific concepts in a timely and accessible fashion. Implicit in this mission is the recording of clinical successes and failures and the teaching of scientific method, critical analysis, and the scholarly endeavor of peer review. Neurosurgical Focus is dedicated to journalistic excellence and to perpetuating the foundations of scholarship.
