Statement of Editorial Purpose
The American Journal of Public Health is the official journal of the American Public Health Association. Its mission is to advance public health research, policy, practice, and education by providing credible and useful scientific information, models of practice, and a theoretical understanding of problems and interventions while consistently examining moral issues and values related to health and social justice. Its goals are to publish leading scientific articles in the field of public health; to promote public health policy, practice, research, and education; to serve as a forum for diverse viewpoints on major public health issues and policies; and to deliver quality public health information through a variety of delivery channels relevant to different audiences and their needs.
