Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the clinical presentation of bipolar in children and adolescents
  2. Recognize the risk factors and prodromal symptoms that could predict the development of bipolar disorder in pediatric populations
  3. Identify the differences in the clinical presentation of symptoms in children, adolescents and adults and the importance of early and accurate diagnosis
  4. Evaluate effective pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment options for children and adolescents, and identify key issues in successful management.
