Learning Objectives - Describe the clinical presentation and impact of RV failure in pulmonary hypertension, and evaluate newer RV imaging techniques that might enhance diagnosis and better assess treatment effects.
- Outline state-of-the-art
evidence-based management approaches for patients with early or mild PAH, with a focus on pros and cons of various oral therapies.
- Delineate when and how to escalate therapy in the long-term management of PAH, using a goal-oriented approach to assess patient progress with combination therapy (oral, parenteral, and/or inhaled).
- Identify emerging patient populations with or at risk for PAH, develop appropriate management strategies,
and optimize treatment.
