In a nationally representative cohort study of 13,000 patients, low vitamin D levels were found to be linked to an increased risk for death. The lead investigator says that the size of the study helps make the results more generalizable, and she is calling for a randomized controlled trial on this issue. How will this finding affect your practice?
Ask all patients about length of daily sun exposure and use of vitamin D supplements

Uncertain
No change; I'll wait for the results of a randomized controlled trial
I don't see patients at risk for low levels of vitamin D
