Marrecca Fiore is an award-winning writer and editor. Before joining Medscape, she worked as the Health Editor for Foxnews.com and the Senior News Editor for AOLHealth.com. While at AOLHealth.com, she coordinated the social media efforts and oversaw all of the written content that accompanied the interactive Webcast, "Let's Move Live With Michelle Obama," which earned a 2011 Webby Award.

Marrecca spent 9 years working as a newspaper reporter at various publications in Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New York. In 2004, while working as a reporter at the Observer-Dispatch in Utica, New York, she was honored by the New York State Associated Press for a series of articles she wrote while covering Utica City Hall. She earned a BA in journalism from the University of Rhode Island.
